My name is Ellen Amiryan and I was born and raised in New York City. From a young age, art came naturally. Growing up, taking day trips to the MoMA, The Met, The Frick Collection, and many more, have all shaped me as an artist and as an individual.
My education in the arts encompasses a range of courses in fine arts, textiles, and sculpture, both during and beyond my years at high school. Art allows me to express my true self and share my unique view of the world through different mediums. My artwork has been featured in the Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Additionally, my art has been recognized with a Silver Key and an Honorable Mention by the Scholastic Art and Writing Award. I've also had the opportunity to display my work at various local churches, schools, and my art is currently on display at Montefiore Hospital and Bronx Health Center in Bronx, NY.
My goal is to expand my knowledge as an artist and an individual that will contribute to today’s complex world and bring a positive change to society in general. As for now, I am pursuing a dual degree program, currently in my fourth year, studying Fine Arts and Psychology at Parsons School of Design | The New School. I am very excited to see what's next!
